Kenzo x H&M: Everything You Need to Know Before You Shop

The Kenzo x H&M collaboration has been in the works for months, and on November 3rd, it’ll finally hit stores. Here is everything you need to know on how to shop it, including what to expect on launch day and the best pieces to buy.

When and where to shop:

The collection will be available in about 270 select stores worldwide at 8:00 a.m. local time and online at 8:00 a.m. EST. H&M threw together this handy store locator that lists all participating stores; if you’re in a big city like New York or Los Angeles, you’ll have a few options, so begin strategizing now which location will make for the smoothest shopping experience.

Shopping IRL versus online — what to expect:

If you’re planning to shop in stores, make sure you’re aware of all the rules. Like most H&M launches, there’s a wristband system. The first 420 shoppers in line will be spilt up into groups of 30 shoppers, and each shopper will be given a different colored wristband that’ll indicate an allotted time to shop.

Once inside, shoppers will have only 15 minutes to shop the designer collection area, with a quick five minute break between groups. To make sure as many customers as possible can successfully shop the collection (and to cut down on resellers), purchases will be limited to two pieces per style per person; this applies to everything, including accessories, bags, and shoes.

You can also take your chances online. The collab will hit the H&M site at 8:00 a.m. EST on November 3rd, but limits customers to just one piece per style per person.

What to buy:

Prices start low at $25 for a wool beanie and cap off at $550 for a patterned maxi dress. Most of the collection’s core pieces fall somewhere between $50 and $200.

As for what to buy? The T-shirt ($35) and sweater ($60) are an easy way to get in on the action; we also love the patterned silk dress ($130), the high waisted tiger-striped leggings ($50), and the pink pile-lined leather jacket ($400). You can check out the full collection with prices here.

Feeling buyers remorse? Here’s the deal with returns:

The return policies for the designer collabs are always more strict than regular returns. If you made your purchases in stores, you’ll be able to return or exchange your items until November 9th with the original form of payment, receipt, and photo ID.

From November 10th through November 21st, refunds will only be issued in the form of store credit, with or without a receipt. And after the 21st, returns from the collection will no longer be accepted.

Online returns are a little easier in that you can mail them or bring them back to the stores. The same rules apply in regards to dates, though, so get them in quick.
